Protecting your information online is important to Valmarc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, and how we will and will not use the information you entrust to us, through the Site.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

The information helps us to improve our Site and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:

  • Cookies (or browser cookies). Our site uses cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer.   • Web Beacons. Pages of the Site and our e-mails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs. pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that permit Valmarc, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an e-mail and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).

The technologies we use to collect information about your use of the Site include the Demographic and Interest Reporting features of Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they visited prior to coming to our Site. We use the information we obtain from Google Analytics to improve our Site. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information about you. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our Site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use [add link] and the Google Privacy Policy [add link]. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to our Site by disabling cookies on your browser.

Third-party Use of Cookies

We do not use any third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) on the Site. In some cases, where a page on our Site includes context from social network, such as a Twitter feed, those services may set a cookie even when you do not click a button. We cannot access information collected by those cookies set by social networks, just as social networks cannot access cookies we set ourselves.

Links to Other Internet Sites and their Privacy Policies

Our Site may include links to other Internet sites as a convenience to Site visitors. Valmarc is not responsible for personal information that you voluntarily disclose to other third parties that you reach through links or otherwise through our Site, and any such information disclosed will be governed by the privacy policies associated with those sites.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

  • Promotional Offers from Valmarc. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by Valmarc to promote our products or services, you can opt-out by contacting our Chief Administrative Officer (see Contact Us below for details on how to contact our Chief Administrative Officer). If we have sent you a promotional e-mail, you may send us a return e-mail asking to be omitted from future e-mail distributions. This opt out does not apply to information provided to Valmarc as a result of a purchase, customer service experience or other transactions.

We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. 

Children Under the Age of 13

The content of our Site is not targeted to or intended for, children under 13 years of age. Valmarc does not market products or services to this age group, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Site or on or through any of its features, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

We have built our Site using industry-standard security measures and authentication tools to protect the security of your personal information. It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Site home page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Site home page. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
